BY ALL MEANS SAVE SOME-IDEAS

The revival meeting we held at Ponca City,OK First Church of the Nazarene was a very special one. We have known the pastor (Steve Bierley) and his wife since they were teenagers in San Bernardino, CA so it was a very special honor for us to be in their church for a revival meeting. Another uniqueness of this meeting was the pastor had arranged for the inmates at the local correctional institution to attend the revival services-along with a volunteer supervisor. Each night these folks were in the services. The church had invited family members to attend and visit as well. At the end of each service the ladies of the church had cooked or provided food which was served to the inmates and family visitors in the fellowship hall. After a couple of such services inmates began to respond to the altar calls and even their family members came forward to pray. Near the end of the meeting their were numerous tears and testimonies from the inmates and families of how appreciative and grateful they were to a church who really cared in a tangible way and communicated to the hurting the Love of God. It was a very wonderful time. It was a time of real revival to the church and some of its very special community members. Thanks, Steve, for being so creative in communicating the Gospel message.
